The Beltsville Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, October 23, at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria of the James E. Duckworth School, 11201 Evans Trail, Beltsville, Maryland.

Lisa Tayerle will speak on:

Winter, Spring, Summer-Deer Resistant bulbs for your garden


Lisa Tayerle has worked as a Gardener at Brookside Gardens for 12 years. She combines her Architectural degree, Visual Arts degree and Horticultural training to design unique summer annual and spring bulb displays, including displays that are deer resistant. She also maintains numerous permanent garden areas, from native plant displays to a dwarf conifer collection.

Brookside Gardens, owned by The Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commission’s Montgomery Parks and located in Montgomery County Maryland ,is an award winning 54-acre public display garden. Brookside has many distinct garden areas ranging from formal garden rooms to shaded woodland and aquatic gardens, as well as numerous annual display gardens.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Bring a plant, or plant related material for the club’s door prize table. The public is welcome and admission is free.
